Cats have temperaments, just as people do. Some cats are more agreeable to human interaction, content to receive all the attention an owner is willing to give. Other cats are less tolerant and prefer to keep cuddling and play to a minimum. If you pay close attention, you'll learn to read the signals that tell you your pet has reached his limit. Restlessness, tail swishing, and twitching or flattening of the ears often precede a scratch or bite that seems to come out of nowhere.
